MMORPG Games Suck!
Ha ha ha. MMORPG games don't really suck (well, some do), unless you are spending tons of hours online trying to level up or wasting way too much money buying gold or whatever else you need to advance.
Watch the MMORPG Game Trailers
I try to add the trailer for each of the games I list so you get an idea what the game is about.
Massively multiplayer online role-playing game, also known as MMORPG games
(quite a mouthful), are games that put you in a fantasy role and you compete against others online. My grandson and I have separate accounts on a few games and enjoy playing together or even going against each other. I set up my laptop by my computer so we can trash talk while we play.
Most multiplayer games can generally allow anywhere from two to several dozen players in a game at one time.
MMORPGs, on the other hand, allows thousands of players in the same game world playing together at the same time, each interacting with each other. You can play as often as you want and still always find different characters you go up against.
Although you have the option to play many of the mmorpg games alone, you miss out on the advanced content, which is what makes these games extra fun. But I'll admit there are times I just want to kick back and play so an occasional me only playing time can be fun.
World of Warcraft (WOW)
is the most played and well known MMORPG game, but it's not the only choice. Rift is a relatively new game that is catching on fast and Star Wars: The Old Republic, is a mmorpg game that many feel will threaten the dominance of WOW.
Pre-orders for the Star Wars game are high. And don't neglect DC Universe, which is becoming my favorite because I always loved the DC comic super heroes.
There are also some good free mmorpg games available.
Some of these rpg games are confusing to learn and hard to level up. Ever get so obsessed with a game and put in way too many hours? Kind of puts a strain on a relationship. I like these games but in no way am I ever going to let them consume my life.
Hopefully some of the mmo tips on this site will help you cut down on the playing hours while you move up in the ranks. Trust me, it gets a lot more fun as you level up and a lot less stressful when it doesn't take forever.
There are some good game guides that really do help you reach high levels. I'll introduce you to what I consider to be the best ones.
A good guide helps you play the MMORPG games and still have a life.
When you get ready to plunge into a new game, take time to read and understand the basic game guide, which is usually on the game site. Try to at least have a clue when you join.
